The TELUS economic module consists of an input-output model that estimates the impact of project investments in individual MPO counties and the rest of the state. Specific impacts are displayed for:

 - Total jobs and construction jobs
 - Labor income
 - Gross regional product
 - State and local tax income revenues

The module also includes an algorithm to calculate the dollar value of travel-time saved in the transportation network as a result of implementing the transportation improvement program. Travel-time saved data used for input to the algorithm is a product of the travel-demand forecasting model used by the MPO/SDOT.
